We are Dina and Ilmars Erti!

We live in Latvia, a nice country at Baltic sea, close to Scandinavia (Sweden).
We have always loved royal noble dogs. We are owners of italian greyhound kennel "LOREDANE FORTUNATA"  (LKF/ FCI)

I am and my wife Dina, we  have completely fallen in love with this wonderful breed - Italian Greyhounds (piccolo levriero italiano). We got our first IG dog in 2002. Now we have 4 IGs - 2 boys and 2 girls.
We  love dog shows and  coursing very much!

I'm the president and instructor of dogs running sport club in Latvia. Coursing means the high speed pursuit of game (or a subsitute for game such as an artificial lure) by a predator hunting primarily by sight. On the walls of the tombs of the ancient Egyptians we see images of slim limbed, swift coursing dogs dating back almost 4000 years. The FCI recognizes the Windhounds (Coursing Dogs) as primary subgroup of dogs Group 10 - greyhound, borzoi, italian greyhound,whippet, saluki,azawakh,afghan Hound....Lure coursing is an excellent way to allow sighthounds to carry out their original work. In addition, it provides a very good opportunity to judge and reward their performance in the field.

Italian greyhound is our love, from the first sight. It is so interesting and exciting to busy ourselve with breeding, mating, and puppies. I'm very thankful to my wife Dina, who is always with our dogs, she helps me in breeding and likes to show dogs too
